The Women’s bowling team recently won the NAIA championships and the next step is the Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC) in Nevada in the middle of April. This is the event that we have been preparing for all year. All the hard work comes down to this one event and as a team- both men and women we feel ready.
We train at the Kegel training center and I believe this is a major factor as to why our team is so successful. We have the best coaches in the world, at the best facility in the world, what more could you want? My game has definitely improved a lot in the two years that I have been here. Having the ability to use the Computer Aided Tracking System (C.AT.S) and video analysis on a daily basis is a huge benefit. Kegel is definitely the place to be if you want to improve your game.
As for our team, we have team practices at least 4 times a week for 2 and a half hours training not only on our physical games, but our mental games too as well as lane play. It feels great to be bowling with people who share the same passion that I do, surrounded by players who bowl for their country and have similar goals as me. This next week is crucial, we are so close to finishing University for the year but have to realize that we have one last job to complete. We want to go to nationals and be able to look back on our season and not have any regrets. To not think “oh I could have done this better”. We are still training on the lanes and in the gym to ensure we are ready!
