Brent Bowers joins us this week to discuss some of the things he feels need to be done to get bowling back on track. Brent is a former two time champion at Wichita State University and two time member of Junior Team USA. Brent also runs Bowl Better Kansas.com, which is a great site for bowlers who may not have access to a coach. Brent shares why he started a Bowers Bowling Tour in Wichita. We dive into what needs to be done to keep bowlers encouraged in our sport, and what he is doing in the state of Kansas to bowling to help survive. Brent talks about ways he feels proprietors and the UBSC can work together to keep young people interested in bowling.

Good work Brent and great advice, thanks Tim and Joey for getting us these great resources
Greg,
Thanks for the comments we need more folks as passionate about our sport. Brent is not only a great bowler, but someone trying to pass on his knowledge to future generations.
Very informative Podcast. I believe that the Local Association needs to get more involved with our new bowlers ~ whether it is providing them with a coaching lesson or as Brent stated ~ advising them of lane conditions ~ ball types/reactions, etc. We have several Gold level coaches here who could put their knowledge to good use. The other advise Brent provided ~ which I think is spot on ~ was that the bowlers have to love the game regardless if they are bored, frustrated or discouraged. When our bowlers obtain this type of attitude it shows and other bowlers might think bowling is not a worthy sport. Keep up the great work Brent, Tim and Joey!
Susan,
Thanks for the comments, l hope this program will catch on across the country.
