This week we chat with Roto Grip/Storm staffer Wes Malott about his 2013 U. S. Open win last week in Columbus Ohio. Wes updates us on how he prepared for the tournament coming off knee surgery to repair a meniscus tear, and how the knee is doing. We also talk about what was going through Wes’ mind thought process after winning the first match and the challenge of bowling the U. S. Open in three different houses. Wes discusses why he feels the Storm/Roto Grip staffers did as well as the did, and how his drilling knowledge played a part in ball selection all week. We end our time with discussing with Wes the passing of John Jowdy, check out Jeff Richgels piece here on Jowdy.
