Bowl Expo was an opportunity to catch up with some of the up and coming stars of the sport. I ran into Arkansas State’s Rachel Gittings. Gittings is a senior this year and just finished up bowling the Women’s U. S. Open. We begin by discussing the image bowling has, and what can be done to keep twenty somethings bowling. Rachel shares her thoughts on the tough conditions the women had bowling outside in the finals at the Women’s U.S. Open, and what it was like bowling in the stadium. Finally we hit on the year ahead at Arkansas State, and why she has high expectations for her team this year.

Nice interview. Rachel has a very, very good physical game. Once she learns to play the game on the level she aspires to, she should be a force in women’s bowling.
