Missy Parkin is the 2011 USBC Queens winner, a two-time PBA regional winner, pro-shop operator, and bronze certified coach, check out her website here. Missy Parkin joined me this week to talk about how she began bowling at the age of three, and her main motivating factor when it came to not letting things get to her on the lanes. Missy won the USBC Queens earlier this year, and as a bronze-certified coach talks about a few of the main issues she sees in a lot of bowlers. Missy tells us she feels the people marketing bowling need to focus on Nike and Cover Girl, as sponsors not the “lesser” sponsors. We conclude by talking about what bowling can do to evolve into a sport that will encourage young bowlers to not leave the sport.
